The race to be named the regionâÂÂs top digital talent is on â entries are rolling in thick and fast for the very first North East Digital Awards.
A Middlesbrough fitness equipment retailer, a collaboration of artists and craftspeople in Northumberland, and an x-ray surgeon reviewing medical devices are among those whoâÂÂve posted entries at www.northeastdigitalawards.co.uk so far.
With less than 80 days left isn't it time you get your entry in?
The awards celebrate the achievements of businesses and organisations that have recognised, developed and used digital techniques to generate and maintain an effective online presence; the region clearly has some very innovative businesses with strong digital elements.
After submitting an entry, you will be are responsible for getting votes for your entry online and there is a fantastic resources page on the Digital Awards website with a range of promotional goodies available. It's important to encourage votes - those with the most votes will be shortlisted for review by a handpicked panel of judges.
But time is running out! The closing date for entry is 28 March 2008.
